Wild Rose relates to the soul quality inner motivation-an inner impulse which incites action. A person in the positive Wild Rose state goes along with life happily doing his job which he finds interesting. He lives in a feeling of complete inner freedom and flexibility and enjoys taking interest in all the happenings of his life and that of others. He is devoted to task within the greater whole—a part allotted to him for execution during his earthly life by the Supreme Being – guided and goaded by his Higher Self.
However, in the negative Wild Rose state, the personality has lost its contact with its Higher Self, and does not find support anywhere. His work does not interest him. The surroundings do not interest him. No body appears to be interested in his plight. He has also lost his self-confidence and he has lost any hope of seeing better days.
Whether it is illness, uncongenial work or monotonous life, pecuniary difficulties or social handicaps and the sorrowful state may be due to any cause, the person becomes resigned to his state. There is complete apathy and loss of interest in anything and everything, and in life itself. Yet he plods on in his uninteresting and monotonous life – he does not think of suicide even, to terminate his agony, an existence without purpose, without interest and without hope. In the inner heart he is convinced that the cause of his sorrowful state is his fate, and the fate cannot be changed, therefore he does not make any effort to improve his lot.
He is content to lead the existence of an animal (in human frame) who eats when hungry and defends himself when attacked. He does not complain of his troubles to anybody. He feels tired and weak always.

Mr. Sethi was an employee of a motor garage in connaught Place. Once he was given the duty of delivering a new Cheverolet car to a prince in a small state in U.P. He was driving the car in a care-free manner on a highway at 60 m.p.h on an empty road, when suddenly 2 young boys sitting on the side of road dared cross the road before the speeding car. Both were knocked down and what happened to them is anybody’s guess, because Mr. Sethi did not look back. He speeded up the car lest he be lynched by the angry villagers left behind.
He resigned his post from the motor-garage on his return to Delhi, as he dared not sit behind the driving wheel. Whenever he tried to do so, the scene of the two boys being knocked down by him came before his eyes and he became nervous.
Any sudden accident whether physical or mental entails a mental shock whose adverse after-effects can be counter-manded by taking ‘Star of Bethelhem’ remedy.
If the origin of a disease can be traced back to some mental shock received earlier, Star of Bethelhem would be necessary to root out the origin of mental shock and its resultant consequences.

It is one of the most important ingredients out of five remedies that constitute the RESCUE Remedy. In the negative Rock Rose state the person loses contact with his Higher Self and his constrained to fearfully cover within its mortal confines instead of trusting in the guidance of its soul, which alone could release extra energies to master the unusual situation.
We have already described 2 Fear Remedies earlier.
(1) Aspen for fear of an unknown cause and (2) Mimulus for fear of a known cause, but the fear of Rock Rose is quite different. It is terror, it is panic, it is extreme fear it is not the fear of one or two individuals but a fear which pervades the very atmosphere in which a whole set of people feel affected.
A building is on fire. People are trapped inside and there is no way out. There is terror in the minds of the people trapped inside the building and there is panic amongst the onlookers.
There is an earthquake. The multi-storey building is swaying like a pendulum. The inmates of the building are terror-struck and the people on the road outside are panicky lest they are crushed if the building falls. There are torrential rains and there is a breach in the river bank. The fast moving waters have engulfed a low-lying habitat. The inmates have already moved to the roof. There is a sea of water all around, and the level of water below is fast rising. There is nothing but terror and hopelessness in the atmosphere.

Working shorter hours tends to cause more stress because less time is available, and more concentration and haste has to be packed in. The change to a five-day week implemented some years ago has, in the main, failed its original purpose. The working week lost another day so that more effort had to be crammed into five days, resulting in greater fatigue which, together with the increased tension, is difficult to shake off and the additional day of rest cannot be enjoyed fully.

In addition to work there are usually too many other obligations, not to mention the diverse opportunities to engage in new and exciting activities, crowding out the intended relaxation. Years ago, people came home from work and were happy to sit on a bench in front of the house and relax until it grew dark.

I recently visited the family of a farmer whom I knew through friends. It was a chance visit, and the farmer’s wife, who had heard of me and had also read some of my publications, took advantage of the opportunity to talk to me about her little daughter’s condition. She described the girl’s symptoms, and how she usually lay in her bed quite listless and apathetic, and it occurred to me immediately that this was probably some form of poisoning. The little girl had been treated with penicillin in hospital, yet her condition had deteriorated. It so happened that I knew the senior consultant of the hospital personally and would say that he is an excellent physician, but unfortunately he was looking for the pathological cause in the wrong places.

I asked the unhappy mother about the circumstances she could still remember from before her little daughter fell ill and whether she could think of any influences that might have been responsible.

The Creator made all natural products with a rich and varied content. All are extremely valuable in their original composition. But man has often overlooked this wisdom and learned little or nothing from it. In this connection I remember one of Professor Kollath’s expressions: ‘Let nature be natural.’

However, it has been quite a while since nature’s produce was left simple and natural; instead it has been violated by refining, denaturing, devaluing, colouring and flavouring, often with chemical additives. While enumerating these violations, we cannot help thinking of Kurt Lenzer who speaks in his writings about ‘poison in the food’.

Since these juices, with the exception of carrot juice, are somewhat unpalatable on their own, try mixing them in thick minestrone soup. The vegetable flavours will neutralise the strong taste of the raw juice. As pointed out already, add the juice only after the soup has been taken off the heat, so as not to lose the medicinal value. If this should make the soup lukewarm, gently warm the juice in a double boiler before adding it to the soup. You will have to eat this soup with the raw juices twice a day and between meals take an additional 200 ml of juice (about 8 fl. oz). In grave cases, 400-500 ml (just under a pint) of raw juice daily is absolutely essential.

Proponents of nature cures and nutritional therapy were advocating the use of raw juices long before scientific research began to confirm their value. Patients should remember the proven effects and be willing to persevere with the treatment until the hoped-for results are obtained.

It is amazing that it was in the United States where these drastic methods of treatment were developed and practised, for it is there, more than anywhere else, that poor nutrition has led to such modern diseases of civilisation.

Patients elsewhere should show the same perseverance in adhering to a raw juice diet that may be relatively unpalatable but will eventually lead to rehabilitation. Mere taste is a small price to pay for health restored!

Bread and cakes can also be made with germinated wheat, or rye, barley, or any other cereal. Bread and muesli prepared in this way are far more nourishing than anything made from flour that has been stored, and that you may have to store even longer before use. The oxygen in the air is harmless as long as the grain remains whole, but as soon as it is milled into flour it begins to destroy many important nutrients, especially the highly active ferments. If used fresh, and if possible germinated, the goodness of the whole grain is available to us.

So, if you eat wheat raw, either in muesli or using any other method of preparation, you will have at your disposal an energy food that contains all the important vitamins and minerals of the grain in their complete and unchanged form.

It is amazing to see the effect of such a wholefood on sick people. They derive infinitely greater benefits from it than from the most expensive remedies. Natural food is without doubt the best medicine for every nature-oriented person.
